He wears a smile like armour tight,
A cloak of calm through the storm of night.
But deep within, the silence grows-
A war he fights that no one knows.
The work has taught him not to cry,
To hold the weight and question “why?”.
He feels so lost, so worn, so small,
With no one there to catch him fall.
“ Be strong,” they said. “ Don’t break, don’t bend.”
But strength can shatter in the end.
And what is courage, if not this;
To reach for hope though the abyss.
So if you’re tired and if you ache,
If something deep inside is about to break-
Know this: YOU are NOT alone and not weak.
For there is power in the words you speak.
Say “ I’m not ok today
I need some help to find my way.”
And in that truth, so raw and so real
Begins the chance to truly heal
